The new Food@LIT consumer and sensory lab facility was opened on the 19th of October by Minister Richard Bruton and Dr.Maria Hinfelaar.

Food@lit is currently working on a range of Enterprise Ireland Innovation vouchers and continue to secure many vouchers and coach new applicants through the application process.

Food@LIT has become a member of the Sensory Network of Ireland a FIRM funded project to align and promote collaboration between sensory facilities in Ireland.

Food@LIT successfully delivered a night time Diet and Nutrition 10 week course as part of LIT’s lifelong learning program.

Food@LIT collaborated with Shannon ABC to secure the support of Pallas Foods on a mushroom research project currently underway in Shannon ABC.

Food@LIT are also collaborating with Doctor’s Patrick Murray and Daragh Naughten on components of Innovation Partnerships.

Food@LIT in conjunction with Shannon ABC have just secured an innovation partnership to generated 2 specific new and novel products and the bioavailablity of compounds therein.

Food@LIT also are collaborating with Shannon ABC on the submission of a proposal for the Department of fisheries and agriculture call that is currently open and we are in discussions with BIM as a partner.
